Elyria Catholic's 5-foot-10, 185-pound junior running back Justin Rankin
is a recruit looking to continue earning college interest over the next few months. He already has been offered by several schools, but there are others keeping a close eye on the elusive prospect.
"I have three offers," he said, "Buffalo, Toledo and Western Michigan. Buffalo was the first offer. That was sometime last summer. I am also hearing from Indiana and Kent State."
He had an opportunity to visit the Bulls recently.
"I visited Buffalo about two weeks ago. I liked it a lot. The campus was beautiful and I got to talk to the coaches more."
Last season Rankin also returned kicks and played defensive back but says the bulk of his interest comes for the offensive side of the ball.
"Mostly, I'm getting recruited as a running back. Two of my offers are for running back."
A big part of continuing his recruitment is the summer camp circuit, one he will be very active on.
"I'm going to be going on the bus tour with Raw Talent, but I'm also going to camp at Buffalo and the Friday Night Lights camp [at Ohio State] if I get invited back."
