Frantz Adding New Offers
Lawrence (KS) Free State offensive tackle Scott Frantz has had an eventful month. He took part in two junior day trips to Big 12 programs and walked away with an offer from each. "Kansas and Kansas State offered," said Frantz. The 6-foot-6, 280 pound Frantz has also collected offers from Marshall and Idaho. He commented on his offer from Kansas State. "It happened on the visit," Frantz noted. "It was a great visit. I had a lot of fun. I really enjoyed talking to the offensive line coach there. All of the linemen got together and we talked a bit. I also enjoyed hanging out with the offensive coordinator. He showed us game film and went over and showed what he does and what type of offense he runs. It was real cool." "Coach Snider was who offered me," he added. "I was told he had good news for me and he offered me in person. It was a great experience. I was real excited. I'm honored to have a chance to play for such a great program." The offer from the Jayhawks for Frantz came from the head coach as well. "Coach Weis offered me," he told Scout. It was real cool. It was a couple weeks before Kansas State had offered me. It was the first school that offered me in person because Marshall offered over the phone. They sat me down in Coach Weis' office at the beginning of the visit and informed me then. They have made me a priority already." "I have stayed in contact with Kansas quite a bit since then," Frantz continued. "I've spoken with Coach Reagan, the offensive line coach and coordinator. We have talked on the phone often. I'm going to visit for a Spring practice soon. I'll also visit Kansas State soon for a Spring practice as well." The junior from Lawrence has two visits set up for the near future and one occurs this Thursday. "I'll be visiting Missouri for a Spring practice on Thursday," Frantz mentioned. "They are a really good program. They finished fifth n the nation last year. My first trip there was my first college visit and I loved it. I feel like I'm right on the edge of getting offered by Missouri. I don't have any control over that but I think I'm pretty close." Frantz will also visit a Big Ten program a week from this Friday. "Iowa is the newest school to begin recruiting me," he noted. "I'll be visiting Iowa on March 28. They started to take interest in me a couple weeks ago after they had watched my film. They seem real excited about me and I'm real excited to visit them so it should be a lot of fun."
