Atlanta NFTC: Top RB Performers

Triston Luke

Running backs from three different states made the list of top performers for Scout. Find out who shined at running back at the Atlanta NFTC here...

Josh Bettistia, 2015 RB, Acworth (Ga.) Allatoona
Bettistia is a slippery back who cuts on a dime and can be by defenders before they know it. He was very good in the drills and tough for linebackers to touch in the one-on-one session. He show soft hands.

Mon Denson, 2015 RB, Lagrange (Ga.)
A bigger back that is being recruited on both sides of the ball. He has long legs and he looks like a natural receiver out of the backfield. He did not wow you in the drills, but was solid, and he was one of the best during the one-on-one session.

Taj Griffin, 2015 RB, Powder Springs (Ga.) McEachern
Not a lot of reps late in the day, but the speed and quickness cannot be denied. He picks his feet up and puts them down in a hurry. He blazed through the drills and was one of the most talked about athletes out there.

Triston Luke, 2015 RB, Fort Campbell (Ky.)
If you heard a 'wow' on the lower fields Sunday, Luke was likely involved. He made guy after guy miss and he showed great acceleration. On the smaller (5-8, 180 pound range) side, but shined in this setting.

Keith Mixon, 2015 RB, Ironsdale (Ala.) Shades Valley
It was unfair for linebackers trying to cover Mixon, especially in a one-on-one situation. He set up linebackers, put them on their heels, then burst out of the cut. He is a real weapon in the passing game and on special teams.

John Garcia and Scott Kennedy contributed to this feature.
