Chmura Picks Up First Offer

Chmura Picks Up First Offer

Waukesha West (Wisc.) junior outside linebacker Dyson Chmura picks up offer number one and has a few big visits coming up.

Waukesha West's Dyson Chmura is a 6-foot-3, 195-pound junior who can project to a few different positions, but likely fits best as an outside linebacker, a spot he wreaked havoc from as a junior.

He earned All-Conference honors and today, was rewarded with his first scholarship offer.

"My first offer came in and it was from South Dakota," he said. "When I heard that I had been offered I was speechless and didn't know how to react other than know that I'm blessed and thankful."

Chmura, whose father Mark played in the National Football League with the Green Bay Packers and also has a brother Dylan at Michigan State, has several other programs recruiting him as well.

"The schools I hear from are Michigan State, Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Northern Illinois."

He has used this offseason to get out on visits and has more coming up in the near future.

"I've gone to Minnesota and Wisconsin's junior days and I have Michigan State and Wisconsin's spring games, then visit a practice at Northern Illinois."
