"I played three games on the varsity last season and did really well," Motz stated. "I had 16 tackles in my first game, then I had 14 the second game, and then 13 in the third game. I just tried to get to the football and make plays."
"My strength is stopping the run, for sure," he added. "I'm working on getting into my drops better in pass coverage, and being better in one-on-one coverage. I have a long way to go to be the player I need to be."
Although he has no offers understandably, Motz wants to play college football one day.
"I don't think anyone knows about me yet, to be honest, but I definitely have playing college football as a goal of mine," he admitted. "I love Nebraska the most, but I like all the Big Ten schools, like Michigan and Michigan State."
"My mom is from Nebraska and I've been going to games there all my life, and that's who we root for," Motz continued. "This summer, I'm going to go to camp at Nebraska, Michigan, Central Michigan, and probably a few other schools."
EVALUATION: Motz is still so young and very raw as a prospect, but he has the ability to run and also changed direction well. He has the frame to fill out, and at this point in time looks like a potential Big Ten middle linebacker in a few years. Will be interesting to watch his development over his next three years of high school football.
