Ohio sophomore has seen several coaches stop in school and talks about his most recent on campus…
Glackin Visits Two Local Programs
This week has been a busy one for Lebanon (Ohio) High School sophomore linebacker Jango Glackin as he visited to local programs of interest. Saturday, Glackin was at Cincinnati for the Bearcats Junior Day and left very impressed by what he heard and saw out of the Bearcats. "Cincinnati was great," Glackin said about his Bearcats experience. "I felt like the campus was based around the football facilities and it has a history about it. I like the fact everything you need as a student-athlete is right there." While there Glackin said he got plenty of attention from the Bearcats coaching staff. "I got a chance to talk with Coach (Robert) Prunty," he continued. "He's a really good man who is very religious based and I like that about him. I also talked with Coach (Jeff) Koonz and he also seems like a really nice person as well and seemed like he cared about me. Surprising Glackin was the amount of time head coach Tommy Tuberville gave during the day. "I was very surprised by how much time Coach Tuberville gave me," stressed Glackin. "It seemed like he actually cared about me and said my film looked good and he looked forward to me attending his camp this summer. "Coach Tuberville has been a winner every place he's been and I like that about him." Catching his first college practice, Glackin came away with even more confidence about his ability to take his game to the next level in the future. "It was great watching them practice," he said. "I was able to watch the linebacker and their defense as a whole. I can see myself out there in the future." As for getting an offer, Glackin knows despite his super combine performances, he must also show college coaches what he brings to the field. "Cincinnati wants me to attend their camp so they can see how I move," he explained. "So I look forward to doing that this summer." Tuesday, Glackin visited Miami Ohio and new head coach Chuck Martin. How was the visit with the RedHawks? "I was really surprised by how beautiful the campus was," said Glackin. "The coaches were all really nice as they took me down on the field and talked with me. They told me I could visit any time I wanted and to always feel welcomed." Again, Glackin was impressed with the amount of time he received from the RedHawks head coach. "Coach Martin and I talked about Miami as a whole and how everything works there," he said. "He said Miami would be a great fit for me and watching them practice I could see that their coaches are very passionate about what they are doing and were really into the practice and want to get the team better and turn the program around." Glackin will continue visiting several programs in the coming weeks with a trip set for Ball State on Saturday.
