Defensive LineThis should be an entertaining group to watch, as it always is especially come the time for OL/DL one-on-ones to start.
Coming in from Round Rock TCU commit Breylin Mitchell is one of the most highly regarded defensive linemen listed on the pre-registered roster. Mitchell has great size and to go with it a healthy dose of athleticism. He is one of those guys who will stand out in the crowd.
Last year DeSoto defensive tackle Bryce English gave offensive linemen fits. He is a stout specimen under 6'0 tall, but he is super quick and aggressive and will use his burst to fly past offensive linemen. He also has good balance and uses his hands well. Passion mixed in he makes for a very worthy opponent. Not the match-up you look for if you are a center or a guard.
Texas commit Charles Omenihu will be on hand to show what the Longhorns have gotten in the Rowlett star as will TCU commit Joe Broadnax.
Will be excited to see 2016 edge rusher Marvin Terry.
LinebackerThe linebackers will be headlined by some of Dallas' best.
Scout.com's overall No. 2 player Malik Jefferson will be there. He will have the attention of staff, players and media alike. At 6-foot-3, 220 pounds, Jefferson is the prototype outside linebacker recruit. He has blazing speed off the edge and will make the opposition miserable trying to scheme away from the area that he patrols. He is as fast as the players with the ball.
Dallas Skyline's Anthony Wheeler could be described as a bit of a throw back style linebacker. He is a thumper in the middle of the field. He blows up running backs and once he locks on you can pretty much guarantee that he is going to finish. Like Jefferson, he is another who will definitely look like a man amongst boys. Offers have come in from coast-to-coast.
Defensive BacksThis grouping is stacked with talent. We could sit here and break it down for a long time.
A trio of four star safeties will be making it in. Fellow East Texans and Texas A&M commits Justin Dunning and Larry Pryor will be in town. Dunning is off an ACL injury, where as Pryor spent an extend amount of time at quarterback as a junior. While built much differently, both are very physical and aggressive defenders with a nose for the ball. Midwest City safety Will Sunderland may fit that centerfield safety role perfectly. He has some nice offers on his list.
Gilmer Scout100 defender Kris Boyd is one of the region's very best. he is a very physical cornerback, who will not be afraid to come up and jam and get in the wide receivers face. He should create some memorable one-on-one match ups.
P.J. Mbanasor is a recruit to look forward to seeing compete. He has plus size and shows on tape that he has a little bit of edge to his game.
