Francis Howell 2015 ATH Sutton Smith picked up his second verbal offer today to play D1 football…
Smith Holds Two Offers
Saint Charles (MO) Francis Howell running back Sutton Smith has already collected two offers to his name. The 6-foot, 200 pound back has netted scholarships from Northern Illinois and Austin Peay. He discussed his thoughts on the Huskies. "It was great to receive the offer from Northern Illinois," Smith said. "I like Coach Carey. I also like Coach Kane and he's the one recruiting me. He's a cool guy." "I like Northern Illinois a lot," he added. "They've got a strong program. They're a good fit for me academically because I am interested in business and marketing. They're close enough so my parents can come to every home game. I'll be visiting for their spring game on April 19." A few other programs have connected with Smith. "The other schools that have shown interest in me are primarily, Illinois, Kansas State, Alabama, and Tennessee," he told Scout. "I talk with Coach Salem from Illinois over the phone some. They've said that I'm at the top of their list for offense and defense." Kansas State is squarely in the mind of Smith and hope to see him at camp. "Coach Latimore from Kansas State said they really need me to come to their camp," he addressed. "They want to see me play in person. We'll see what happens with that. I like them even though I missed their junior days. I'm hoping I can see more of their facilities when I visit there, which might be for the Spring Game on April 26th." Smith would also like to attend camps at Alabama, TCU, Illinois, Tennessee, Rutgers, and Georgia.
