The Wisconsin Badgers made quite a recruiting splash at one Dallas-area high school Wednesday afternoon when they offered three teammates.
All three players tweeted the news of their Wisconsin offers, led off by 2015 running back Devine Ozigbo. The Badgers are the sixth program to offer Ozigbo, who also holds offers from Iowa, Miami, Tulsa, Utah, and UTSA.
The 5-foot-11, 213-pound Ozigbo is a powerful runner with good burst and acceleration. He ran 947 yards and 13 touchdowns in 2013, when he also caught 23 passes for 311 yards and two scores. Ozigbo was among the top running backs at the Dallas Nike Football Training Camp this past weekend at DeSoto's Eagle Stadium.
Mayden had 25 tackles, two interceptions, four forced fumbles, and four pass breakups. At 6-foot, 190 pounds, Mayden is the type of big-framed, long-limbed cornerback that high-major programs covet.
Duvernay, a 5-foot-10, 175-pound prospect, led Sachse in receiving yardage in 2013, when he caught 41 passes for 738 yards and 11 touchdowns, which tied for the team lead.
The trio of players with new Wisconsin offers helped Sachse finish the 2013 season with an 11-1 record and second-round playoff appearance.
