Location: Addison Trail High School
Date: April 12, 2014
The running back group features Illinois commit Dre Brown and Indianapolis Brebeuf Jesuit's Levante Bellamy, who holds several offers. There is also a strong contingent of 2016 prospects. Both Martell Pettaway (South Lake, Mich.) and Kentrail Moran (O'Fallon, Ill.) are early four-stars. Monona Grove (Wisc.) product Toren Young has the look of a prospect who may one day join them. Fellow Badger State product Blair Mulholland of Kimberly High is an impressive athlete on tape. Addison Trail (Ill.) standout Malik Pierre-Louis and Cretin Derham-Hall (Minn.) back Brison White are two other sophomores we are looking forward to seeing in action. Chicago (Ill.) Marist's Jawill Aldridge is a junior sleeper who look to further make a name for himself.
Miles Boykin, Flynn Nagel, and Cameron Green are among the standouts coming in. Carmel (Ind.) has an athletic junior in Isaac James with several offers. A couple other seniors to be will look to impress and get their names further onto the radar. 6-foot-6 Illinois product Carlos Baker, fellow in-stater Jaavion Bradley, sure-handed Roseville (Minn.) star Jesper Horsted, and quick, elusive Jaquay Owens of Decatur (Ill.) Macarthur all come in with impressive film and credentials but all are still waiting for their first offer. The same goes for Detroit (Mich.) Mumford's Deshawn Foster who had a good junior season, but is still under the radar.
The group of underclassmen receivers is an impressive one. Farmington (Mich.) pass-catcher Desmond Fitzpatrick already holds several offers and we believe his fellow Michigan sophomores Jalen Martin and Donnie Corley will eventually have several of their own.
Not many people know about Belleville (Ill.) Althoff Catholic's Keenan Young yet, but the sophomore has size and run after the catch ability. Naperville (Ill.) Central's Emmanuel Rugamba and Lombard (Ill.) Montini's Tyler Millikan are two more standouts who won't have to leave the state to show their skills. Two Minnesota sophomores, 6-foot-4 Sean Engel, whose brother plays at Minnesota and speedy East Ridge High product Kjetil Cline complete a strong group of 2016 receivers. In the 2017 class, two we will have our eyes on are New Lenox (Ill.) Providence Catholic's Martez Malone and Chicago (Ill.) Brother Rice's Ricky Smalling.
At tight end, the top junior coming in is Nate Vejvoda of Providence Catholic (Ill.) who has a couple of FBS offers. In the sophomore class, Noah Turner (Mundelein Carmel, Ill.) is a strong, physical kid who catches the ball naturally.
On the offensive line, Kyonta Stallworth, a Michigan State commit, is a Scout 300 guy. Quinn Oseland (Sacred Heart Griffin, Ill.) has double-digit offers including a few from major BCS programs. Matt Skibinski (Livonia Churchill, Mich.), Peyton Truitt (Lafayette, Ind.), and Jack Shutack (Nazareth Academy, Ill.) are all juniors coming in touting FBS offers.
Other juniors looking to make a name for themselves include Joliet (Ill.) Catholic Academy's massive DeAndre Ford, Michael Owens (Nazareth Academy, Ill.), Grant Branch (Lombard Montini, Ill.), Jordan Steckler (Two Rivers, Wisc.), and Erik Mikkelson (Oswego, Ill.).
The underclassmen are lead by Michigan commit Erik Swenson (Downers Grove South, Ill.), a massive left tackle prospect. Chicago (Ill.) De La Salle's massive Javon Burruss and Jake Heinrich, a feisty finisher from Urbandale (Ia.) have FBS potential as well.
*Note: The above was not a full listing of prospects attending. Scout will have a full recap from this weekend's events including interviews, scouting reports, videos, photos and more.
