Williams Visits Cal
Still seeking that first offer, Pearland offensive lineman Willie Williams informed Scout.com that he has just returned from a junior day at California.
"Back from Cal's junior day. The coaches said they would offer me soon," Williams said. It (Cal) seems like a great place to be."
Oklahoma and UTSA are some of the other programs he has visited and are actively recruiting Williams.
Houston to Austin
He said numerous times throughout the process, that if he got the offer from Texas, he would commit. And North Shore running back Tristian Houston did exactly that. On Monday afternoon of this week, coach Charlie Strong offered Houston and he pretty much committed immediately. He is the second committed running back in this class for Texas (Jordan Stevenson – South Oak Cliff).
SEC for Keke
Offers have not slowed down any for George Ranch defensive tackle Kingsley Keke. Last month he hauled in three, sometimes four in a single week. Now, just a few days ago Ole Miss offered him.
Fox Headed to the B1G 10
It didn't sound as though Clear Lake linebacker Nathan Fox was ready to commit. But he did make it clear on numerous occasions that an offer from Northwestern was something he was looking forward to.
So when he took an unofficial visit to Chicago, Ill., he got everything he was looking for and more.
"The coaching staff was amazing, the facilities look perfect and the 4-3 is my favorite defense," Fox said. "There's no other school that pleased me like Northwestern. Recruiting is done for me as far as that goes."
And there it is. Fox chose Northwestern over Wake Forest, Mississippi State and Utah.
Tolbert Opens it Up
It was inevitable. And in the last Scout.com Midlands Roundtable, it was stated that Ridge Point defensive back Jordan Tolbert was not likely to remain committed to Houston. And that assessment was correct as Tolbert opened up his recruitment late last week. He has offers from Colorado, Arizona State and Texas, but it is the Baylor program that he feels is recruiting him the hardest.
Sheffield Adds K-State
With over 30 offers in hand, Marshall athlete Kendall Sheffield adds another Big 12 school to the list with Kansas State offering Tuesday. Sheffield has no favorites and it looks as though this will be a recruitment that goes well into, and possibly beyond his senior season.
