Wilson is a promising WR prospect

Tustin (Calif.), a traditional Orange County power, had a down year last season but wide out George Wilson is someone definitely worth watching closely this spring/summer.

George Wilson was one of the top receivers we saw at the IMG 7v7 tournament two weeks ago. At 6-3, 190 pounds, he's a big target with very good hands and did a nice job with his routes, setting up opposing defensive backs and then getting deep.

"I was happy with how I did but I'm never satisfied," Wilson said. "I need to keep working on running routes and work on the small things. I like where my speed is at, I ran a 4.5 at my high school recently but you can always get faster and I want to keep getting more physical too."

On the recruiting front, Wilson landed his first offer a few weeks ago and could be close on another.

"I have an offer from Massachusetts and San Jose State seems pretty close to offering as well," Wilson said. "I'm also hearing from Arkansas State and East Carolina as well. I'm going to do some camps over the summer but other than San Jose State, I'm not sure which ones I'll do yet.

"UMass is probably my early favorite since they have offered me but I'm open to everyone right now. I'm just being patient and going through the process. I don't have a time frame for when I'll commit, just whenever it feels right and I find the right school, I'll go ahead and do it."
