Versatility is one of the primary reasons that Missouri City (Tex.) Elkins athlete Jonathan Giles has been hearing from a number of colleges. For his high school team, he lines up at quarterback, and makes plenty of plays for his team.
With already three offers in hand, the 6-foot, 175-pound Giles was bound to pull in more offers this spring. And this week, a couple more came in.
"Indiana JUST OFFERED ME," Giles said via Twitter on Tuesday.
Then earlier today, Giles said (also on Twitter) that he got his fifth offer from Houston.
These two new offers will go on the list which includes North Texas, Colorado and Fresno State. He shared some comments on the two newest offers for this week.
"I am interested in both schools. First with Indiana, they are in the Big 10, which is one of the best conferences," Giles said. "Indiana is playing good teams every week. I'm interested in Houston because that program is coming back up. And it means even more because my dad (Running back Lonzo Giles 75-77) went to school there."
Giles, who threw for over 3,000 yards and ran for over 1,100 yards, for 43 total touchdowns, is being recruited by all of these programs as a wide receiver.
He also mentioned that Texas Tech, Oregon, Baylor and Texas A&M also have high interest in him.
