Martin Wants a Championship Program
Lots of attention has been coming in the direction of Port Arthur Memorial 2016 running back Kameron Martin. And rightfully so. The early four-star back is well over 20 offers, which includes many from programs within the Lone Star State.
But when he spoke with Midlands Recruiting Manager Greg Powers it was announced that Martin's top choice is not close to home.
"FSU (Florida State). I just feel like it will be a great fit for me and my family."
It's still early in the process, but for the champs to be in the conversation this early in the process is something to keep an eye on.
Since the last notebook when he received his sixth offer from Texas A&M, lots of news has come up for Alvin (Tex.) Manvel defensive back Deontay Anderson. He got offered by LSU first and received back-to-back offers from Ole Miss and Nebraska. But in the midst of this, he also got some other great news in.
"I got invited to play in the Under Armour game in 2016," Anderson informed Scout.com Monday afternoon. "This is a blessing."
Two OLs Getting Noticed
It seems like no matter the week, the Manvel program is represented in the Houston area notebook. Now there are some new names to add to the list of potential top players who could emerge this spring, according to a member on the Manvel coaching staff. Offensive linemen, both from the 2016 class, McKenzie Nworah and Austin Meyers have been turning the heads of a few coaches this spring so far. Nworah (6-4, 295) is still raw, only began playing football as a freshman. It was said that there is tons of potential here. With Myers, he comes over to the offensive side after playing defensive tackle. He's quick and athletic and several college coaches, including Oklahoma and Nebraska are taking notice of his skills. Both plan to make the camp rounds to improve their skills.
Offers Coming in For…

--Offer No. 4 is in for Bellaire wide receiver Courtney Lark. This one comes from Nebraska. Texas Tech, Maryland and SMU are the others.
--Beaumont Central athlete Devwah Whaley's latest offers are from Arizona State and Louisiana - Lafayette.
