Almost two dozen new offers have gone out in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex during the first two days of the week. All of those offers have come from out-of-state schools.
Connecticut is one of the most active programs so far this week, offering four different DFW prospects.
Three Huskies offers arrived Monday at Skyline High School in Dallas. Those went to 2015 defensive tackle Zach Abercrumbia, 2015 receiver Carlos Strickland, and 2015 middle linebacker Anthony Wheeler.
The fourth UConn offer arrived Tuesdsay, when Ballas Bishop Dunne 2015 defensive tackle Darrion Daniels got one.
Abercrumbia is a three-star interior defender with an offer list approaching double digits.TCU, Texas Tech, and Oregon State are among Abercrumbia's offers. Scout.com rates him as the No. 28 defensive tackle in the nation's 2015 class.
Strickland is nearing 20 offers, which is not surprising considering that he's a four-star prospect ranked by Scout.com as the No. 2 receiver in the state of Texas. Alabama, Clemson, LSU, Notre Dame, Ohio State, and UCLA are among Strickland's offers.
Wheeler also has double-digit offers, including Alabama, Michigan State, Oklahoma, Texas, and Texas A&M. The The 6-foot-2, 225-pound four-star recruit is Scout.com's No. 4 middle linebacker prospect in the country.
Like Strickland and Wheeler, the 6-foot-4, 275-pound Daniels is also a four-star prospect. He's ranked No. 15 nationally among 2015 defensive tackles and has more than 20 offers, including Baylor, LSU, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Texas, and USC.
