Martin Adds an Offer

Toledo is the latest offer for Chandler Park (Mich.) Academy sophomore wide receiver Jalen Martin and there are many other schools tracking his progress.

Toledo became the second school to offer Chandler Park Academy class of 2016 wide receiver Jalen Martin, and the 6-foot-2, 190-pound prospect plans to check the Rockets out further.

"I know I'll be camping down there, me and a few of my teammates," he said. "Earlier, I went down to watch practice. I watched a scrimmage. It was a nice setup. I like their tempo on offense and they have a real nice quarterback."

He added, "they're one of the best schools in their conference, so it's pretty exciting getting an offer."

One of the early top prospects in Michigan for his class, Martin is drawing a lot of additional interest from other schools.

Penn State, Howard and Western Michigan have also stopped in to see Martin during this contact period and he is starting to get his camp schedule together.

"I'm going to Michigan State and I plan on going to Ohio State. I'll be going to Western's camp and Bowling Green and that's about it."

Martin is currently participating in track and field. He does relay events and high jump.

He has an additional offer from Eastern Michigan he received last summer.

As a sophomore, Martin finished his season with 42 receptions for 985 yards and 12 touchdowns.
