Sterling Jones is only a freshman, but he has already received his first letter and many more will come his way...

Sterling Jones is wrapping up his freshman year at St. James School in Montgomery, Ala. and he is a prospect you will hearing more about in coming months, years.

He worked his way onto the varsity team in 2013 and by the end, he was starting. He had 13 tackles in one game late in the season.

Recruiting has started for Jones.

"I got my first letter on April 15 and it was from Miami," said Jones. "That was pretty special and it was a surprise."

Auburn has shown a little interest and he was their for the Tigers' spring game.

Jones grew up an Auburn fan, but Alabama is another school he has a lot of interest in early.

The 6-foot, 208 pound 2017 linebacker prospect is one to keep an eye on. His name will become more familiar as we move forward. He has good instincts, he tackles with authority, and he has good size.
