Another Big Offer For Jones

Another Big Offer For Jones

The linebacker position might be the strongest group of talent in the state of Ohio, with several players holding BCS offers. Youngstown Cardinal Mooney's Jordan Jones has seen his recruitment take off recently.

Youngstown Cardinal Mooney has sent many players on to star in college football over the past few decades, and they have another budding star on the roster.

Linebacker Jordan Jones (6-foot-3, 210-pounds) has seen his recruitment explode over the past few months, and he has put together an impressive offer list. Saturday evening, he landed another big offer.

"I was offered by Miami," Jones stated. "I was talking with (linebackers coach) Mike Barrow and he was the one that told me I had the offer. We had been talking on Twitter, and I was very excited to learn of this offer."

"This offer means a little bit more to me than everyone else, and I'm definitely interested in them," he added. "This offer really hypes me up, and they want me to get down there for a visit. I want to visit, and it will probably be an official visit in the fall."

Even though Jones has stated previously he wanted to make his decision prior to the start of his season, that could be changing with some of the recent offers.

"I'm not sure right now, and I'm kind of thinking about taking all my official visit in the fall, then announcing after they are completed," Jones admitted.

In addition to Miami, Jones also holds offers from such schools as Kentucky, Michigan State, Nebraska, Oklahoma and West Virginia.
