FUMA had a post-grad workout where college coaches could attend and watch last week and Davis took part in that even though he is only a sophomore.
When coaches saw the 6-foot-4, 215 pound athlete move, they offered.
"Right after the workout, I was offered by Virginia, Miami, Temple, Virginia Tech, and Maryland," said Davis. "They liked what they saw in me while I went through the different drills. I showed my speed and quickness with my size."
He now plans to do some research on those schools. "I really don't know much about any of those schools. I know a little about Miami and Virginia Tech, but not too much. I will check on them though."
The four-star athlete knows more about schools closer to where he used to live in Baton Rouge, La. He is hearing a lot from a couple of those.
The offer from LSU is one Davis "wants badly". He said his speed is better this year, that he is stronger, and that he has started to fill out his frame. So he plans to show Les Miles what he can do come June.
"I cannot wait," said Davis, "I will be at the one day camp LSU has and do what I can to earn that offer."
It is obvious that LSU offer would be big for Davis, but even if the Tigers do offer, he does not plan to commit right away.
Davis just received five offers in one day and it is a "pretty exciting" time for his right now.
"I do not have any favorites yet," said Davis. "I am not trying to commit anytime soon. The offers are just starting for me, so I want to see how that goes for a while."
