Once colleges get off the plane at either Bush Intercontinental or Hobby Airports in Houston, there are several stops that college coaches must make before heading back to their chosen destinations. Manvel is one of those stops. With that said, when the Clemson coaches made their way by there, they made the most of the trip.
On Monday, the Tigers came by and clearly liked that they saw in safety Deontay Anderson, quarterback Deriq King, and receiver Reggie Hemphill as all three of the 2016 players have Clemson offers. Anderson also has recent offers from Notre Dame and Missouri. Hemphill also has added Notre Dame to his list as well.
Lucky Seven for Whaley
It was the Big 12 program that was offer No. 7 for Beaumont Central athlete Devwah Whaley.
"I have seven offers now. I'm really enjoying the process," Whaley told Scout.com. "The coaches like my size, speed and athleticism, but nobody really knows what to do with me. I'm listed as an athlete."
He plays running back for Central, but has the skills to play anywhere in the secondary as well.
Offers Pouring In…
Last Friday was a good day for CE King running back Trayveon Williams who landed offers from Nebraska and Navy. It looks as though more may have come through this week.
Just as this was being put together last week, North Shore safety Eric Monroe was offered by Notre Dame and Oklahoma State according to the coaching staff.
Keep an eye on Elsik linebacker Dontavious Jackson, who was recently offered by Louisville. His first came from Oklahoma State.
Westfield teammates wide receiver Tyrie Cleveland (TCU offer too) and defensive tackle Ed Oliver were both offered by Louisville on Tuesday.
