"I was thinking about it (First scholarship offer) a lot," said Jordan Jones. "I just think my talent is as good as others who already have offers, so it has been on my mind."
Jones now has his first offer and it is from Tulsa. Adam Blankenship delivered the news when he stopped by Smackover Friday.
"It is just a blessing [to receive my first offer] and it is a reflection of all the hard work I put in each day with my teammates."
Not much is known yet about the Golden Hurricanes, but he knows "they won the Liberty Bowl a couple of years ago and that they really like me."
A school the talented 2016 athlete out of Arkansas liked growing up was Ohio State. He was a big fan of Terrell Pryor. Jones would love an offer from the Buckeyes, but that is not the only school he wants an offer from.
"Arkansas, Auburn, and TCU are three schools I like and that I would love to get offers from," said Jones. "I will be happy with any offer though. It feels good to know that schools really want you and like you."
The 6-foot-2, 179 pound wide receiver has been timed in the 40 yard dash at 4.49 seconds. He caught 29 passes in 2013 and 10 of those were for touchdowns.
