Kyler Murray, a 5-foot-11, 170-pound quarterback from Allen (Texas) High will end his recruitment with a non-binding verbal commitment on Wednesday at his high school.

Allen head coach Tom Westerberg confirmed the time of 2:45pm CST with Scout, as Murray is set to announce at the Allen ISD indoor practice facility.

The announcement will be followed up by the Allen spring football game at 7pm CST.

Murray, who is one of the most heavily pursued quarterbacks in the country, announced a final five of Clemson, Florida, Oregon, Texas A&M and Texas Tech back in January. Auburn and Ohio State are schools that also seem to be in the game.

He has taken unofficial visits to schools like A&M, Tech, Oregon and Clemson.

Murray is rated as a Scout four-star prospect, the No. 5 quarterback prospect nationally, as well as the No. 43 prospect in the country regardless of position.

Scout Eval - Typically, quarterbacks with his size are not rated as highly, but that speaks to the type of talent he possesses. Led his team to a 5A state title in Texas as a sophomore, showing a high acumen to read the field and make plays with his arm or his legs. He is a very accurate passer and can place the ball exactly where he wants it to go. He is very savvy as to when he decides to pull the ball down and run. A true dual-threat at the position.

As a sophomore in 2012, Murray helped lead Allen to a State Championship. He passed for over 2,000 yards and rushed for over 1,300 yards and scored 42 touchdowns to earn 10-5A District Offensive MVP, First Team All-District and First Team All-State honors.

As s junior in 2013, Murray helped lead Allen to its second consecutive State Championship, racking up over 4,900 yards of total offense and scoring 65 touchdowns, earning All-State, All-District, All-Region and Scout Midlands Offensive Player of the Year honors.

Additionally, he has been selected as an Under Armour All-American and has also earned an invitation to The Opening to compete with the country's top standouts at the Nike World Headquarters in Oregon.
