Mallory with a dozen

Offensive guard prospect Evan Mallory says he's sitting on 12 or so scholarship offers.

There has been a little bit of a transition for offensive guard Evan Mallory. He has only been down at the Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy for a few weeks. He moved in from the state of Indiana.

"It's actually been five weeks," Mallory said. "But I love it. I mean I love it here. The biggest adjustment for me has been the heat. No joke. That's been hard."

But Mallory understands the hard work he puts in now will help set him up for the next level. One of the guys helping him get there is his coach, Chris Weinke.

"Coach Weinke has been awesome," Mallory said. "I mean coach Weinke is a great guy. He's someone that I have a ton of respect for and like a lot."

According to Mallory he has 11-12 scholarship offers from teams like Kansas, FIU, Cincinnati, Louisville, Illinois, Indiana, Purdue and others.

"I don't know what I am going to do this summer or where I am headed but I would love to hit Wisconsin," Mallory said. "I want a Badger offer. That would be very big for me.

"I have seen Cincinnati, Louisville and Illinois. They were all awesome."

Mallory is 6-foot-5, 320-pound. This summer he plans on going back home to Indiana and working out to prepare himself for his final high school season.
