Oak Hills (Calif.) defensive end Dempsey Robinson (6-3.5, 245), was one of the surprises at the Oakland NFTC earlier this month.
Playing in the desert, Robinson has been a bit under the radar, but schools have made their way out there to check him out this spring.
"The Nike Camp was intense and a lot of hard work but a great chance to go against top people," said Robinson. "It told me where I'm at and what I need to work on and how I need to be improving."
Robinson visited Cal while in the Bay Area and he's friends with Kennedy Emesibe, who's headed to Cal.
"I loved it at Cal," said Robinson. "It has a great campus with great coaching. I played against Kennedy and I know he's going there."
"They like me as a defensive end and my plan is to stay at defensive end, but whatever a school wants to move me to, I'm ok with," said Robinson.
