Kendall up to ten offers
"I have 10 offers," said Austin Kendall. "My latest one is from Virginia. It's a great school academically. It's also big because they got two or three five-star guys in their last recruiting class. And they've only offered a few quarterbacks from my class, so it definitely means a lot." Along with the Cavaliers, Boston College, Charlotte, Clemson, Kentucky, Miami, NC State, Tennessee, Wake Forest and West Virginia have offered the Charlotte Christian star. Tennessee is recruiting Kendall the hardest. "We stay in contact every week," he said. "I have a real good relationship with (quarterbacks) coach (Mike) Bajakian. I also have a really good relationship with coach (Butch) Jones and I call him a lot." His most recent visit was to Georgia. "I went down there with my head coach and Jeb Blazevich," said the 6-foot-2, 200-pound Kendall. "Both my parents went there and my dad was a walk-on, so I've been there a bunch, but this time was more in-depth. I'm actually going to call (tight ends) coach (John) Lilly soon." What's next for Kendall "I'm definitely going to South Carolina, Tennessee, Penn State and back to Georgia," he said. "I also might go to Florida – they reached out to me recently. And maybe out to the West Coast to see UCLA and USC. Depending on how I do at camp, I think maybe Penn State or South Carolina could be the next to offer." Although it's early in the recruiting process and he claims no favorites, Kendall admitted a group of schools have impressed him. "I'm keeping my options open, but I definitely really like Tennessee, Georgia, South Carolina and Penn State a lot right now," Kendall said. "All four are big schools and have impressed me with what they have to offer." Kendall has a timeline for his recruitment. "By the end of the summer, I'm going to try to narrow my list down," he said. "I'm going to try and commit after my junior season." During his sophomore season, Kendall completed 111-of-182 passes for 1,668 yards and 20 touchdowns and rushed for over 300 yards and three touchdowns.
