Long Adds First Offer - Ready For Camps
Friday was a big day for Tiffin (Ohio) Calvert High School safety prospect Tyler Long as he earned a trip to state in track. While Long is excited about next weekend's state meet, he's even more excited with the direction his recruitment is taking in football. "I've been getting a lot of exposure," said Long. "I have a lot of camps to go to this summer and have seen a lot of coaches come to school. Today, I had Toledo and Kent State come and Kent State offered. "Yale and Holy Cross came to school and both offered me. Illinois said they really want me to camp as they need a star position player which is their strong safety spot. "They only have one guy who is a senior who has experience, so they said they really need someone for that position. So I'm pretty sure if I go to their camp and do well, it could be a great day as they also want me to come in early to meet some of the members of the team." Long will start his camp season on Sunday with a trip to Michigan State and then look to attend at least four or five more camps before all is said and done. "I have a camp at Purdue on June 13-th," he said. "Illinois is on the 20-th and then I have Cincinnati, Michigan and Eastern Michigan. I'm not sure on the exact dates on those three yet."
