Burrell Checks Out Buckeyes
Ohio State took advantage of the Nike Football Training Camp being held in Columbus, and they hosted several top prospects Saturday. Matthew Burrell, 6-foot-5, 305-pounds, holds a Buckeye offer and Ohio State is one of his top schools. "It was great being at Ohio State and it was sick being around the coaches again," Burrell stated. "I played cornhole with Coach (Urban) Meyer, and I loved everything about the visit. This was my second time being here, and it was all good for me." "The coaches were all laid back and we just had a lot of fun," he added. "Ohio State has always been up there pretty high for me, so this visit just confirmed what I've always thought about them. I have a top-ten coming out soon, so we will see how that goes." Burrell has a timeframe in mind for making his decision, and it won't be coming any time soon. "I'm going to take all five of my officials, and then sit down and decide where to go," he explained. "I'm in no hurry to get this over with. I'm playing in the Army All-American Game next winter, and I'm going to The Opening later this summer." Distance from home won't be a problem at all for Burrell, and that won't be a factor in his choice. "I'm not worried about going too far from home at all, because my parents are moving wherever I go," he stressed. "Once I started getting a lot of offers my parents said they are going with me, wherever it is." "The relationships I've built up with the coaches will be a big factor in which school I choose," Burrell said. "The Ohio State coaches are all great, Coach (Larry) Johnson, Coach (Zach) Smith and Coach Meyer, but I'm very tight with a lot of different coaching staffs."
