Robinson sets summer visits
This summer, Janarius Robinson is doing some traveling. The rising junior will visit Florida State on June 12th, followed by South Carolina June 14th, Clemson June 15th, Tennessee June 16th, and Michigan June 20th. He'll then visit Alabama July 14-16. "I especially look forward to visiting Tennessee because they were the first to offer me. I'm looking forward to meeting them," he said. "I just want to meet everybody, the coaches." Michigan was the latest to offer Robinson and he's excited to have an offer from a program outside the Southeast. He'll be at a family reunion this summer about an hour outside of Ann Arbor, so he'll be able to pop over to the Michigan campus and check it out. "It was a big offer because it's a Big Ten school. It felt great to have another conference offer me," Robinson said. "I really don't know too much about Michigan, that's why I'm taking a visit up there June 20th." The 6-foot-5, 225-pound athlete hasn't been offered by Alabama yet, but he's hoping that'll come on his visit. He camped there last summer, but he's looking forward to seeing more this year. "(I'm looking forward to) meeting all of the coaches. Last year, when I went to the camp, I was just a camper, so I didn't get to really see everything. I'm looking forward to meeting the coaches and seeing all the facilities," Robinson said. "They haven't offered me yet, but I've talked with coach Lance Thompson, the outside linebackers coach." South Carolina is the other school on the visit list that hasn't offered yet, but Robinson is also hoping for that one on the visit. As he takes these visits and evaluates these schools, he's really looking at one thing – the academic support for athletes. He's also not rushing into any type of decision. "I'm just taking it day by day. It won't be this year," he said. Stay tuned to Scout.com for the latest on Janarius Robinson and his summer visits.
