Modesto (Calif.) Central Catholic 2016 quarterback Hunter Petlansky (6-2, 212), took over the reins for good of the Raiders program late in the season.
All he did from that point was lead them to their second straight CIF State D-IV title.
With the offense his from the get-go this fall, Petlansky is ready to shine in the Raiders offense.
This spring, he's had a number of schools come by and he camped at both the Elite 11 and the Oakland NFTC.
"The camps were great," said Petlansky. "I got to throw with a lot of good quarterbacks and against a lot of great DBs and receivers. It was great to see the talent."
Petlansksy threw for a handful of coaches during the eval period.
Petlansky plans to camp at San Jose State and is also considering camps at Boise State and Cal.
He thinks one school could be close to offering.
"The one I see as a possibility is San Jose State," said Petlansky. "I have a good relationship with the coaches there."
