Campbell recaps LSU visit
George Campbell visited LSU for the first time last weekend. The Tarpon Springs (Fla.) East Lake star went to Baton Rouge with his uncle and the two had a great time getting their first look at the program. "Overall, it was and awesome visit, getting to see (head) coach (Les) Miles, and just how the coaching staff operates, it was cool to see. I stayed with a couple players so I got to see how see it and get the point of view of the athletes," Campbell said. The 2015 receiver was also able to have some great conversations with Les Miles about how he could make an impact in the LSU program. "One thing I can say about Coach Miles is he's the type of coach that's going to tell you exactly what you need to know, not what you want to hear," he said. "He's pretty much told me from the beginning that he respects my process and LSU and the offense can use me to make the offensive threats bigger and add an advantage for them. They have (incoming freshman receiver) Malachi (Dupre) and (incoming freshman running back) Leonard Fournette, so he said I could complete the puzzle and I could be one of those pieces." The 6-foot-4, 185-pound athlete made and early commitment to Michigan then decided to open things back up a few months ago. He's been careful to take things slow and not get ahead of himself, so he's not quite ready to say where LSU stands with him after the visit. "I still have some more schools to look at, I'm still going to check out lots of schools over the summer, and I'm going to go from there," Campbell said. "Right now, I'm not sure (when I'll narrow things down), but I think I want to after summer. I'm not sure to how many, but I know I want to after summer." Campbell is also not sure where he'll visit next, he's not trying to hurry the process. "There's a lot of football and training that interferes, so I'm going to see when my next weekend off is and visit somewhere then," he said.
