He tweeted Wednesday, "Decommitting from Nebraska..." then proceeded to retweet several tweets claiming the same thing.
Although Tears hasn't been available to talk about his change of heart, there are few things we do know.
Tears committed three days after visiting Lincoln unofficially in April.
"I just felt like it was the best fit for me," Tears said previously. "After being at Nebraska this past weekend I really felt something special and it was a good feeling."
The 6-foot-2, 175 pound prospect has long limbs and runs smoothly, and will continue to receive according to National Recruiting Analyst Allen Trieu.
"He is a long-strider with good speed and the ability to make things happen after the catch," Trieu said. "He has quick feet, which he uses in the open field and coming out of his breaks."
