Cincinnati Offers Local QB
Messiah deWeaver has been a starter at Trotwood-Madison since his freshman season, and is one of Ohio's top 2016 prospects. deWeaver, 6-foot-3, 215-pounds, has hit the recruiting radar of college coaches and he now holds five offers. Cincinnati is the latest. "I was at Cincinnati Friday night for camp, and they called my coach this morning and offered," deWeaver stated. "This is an offer I wanted pretty bad, because they've been recruiting my school pretty hard but haven't been recruiting me that much." "I really like Cincinnati and think a lot of the program," he added. "This offer fits in with everyone else, and I don't really have a favorite at all. I'm just very excited about this offer and I will consider them highly." His other offers are from Kentucky, Louisville, Western Kentucky and Toledo. deWeaver visited Louisville Saturday. "It was good being at Louisville, and I like the new staff a lot," he explained. "Coach (Bobby) Petrino said I still have the Louisville offer, even though it was given to me by the other staff." "I'm flying to Texas Sunday for their camp, and I'm excited about that," he continued. "That staff offered me when they were at Louisville, and we've stayed in touch. Obviously, I'd love to have an offer from Texas." Scout.com will continue to track deWeaver throughout all his visits, and will update his situation.
