"(I showed) that I can hit, cover, and run fast," he said.
Duncombe was pretty excited to have Arkansas be his first offer.
"Big offer. SEC," he said.
"Arkansas, they're looking good right now. I like how they look. I'd like to play in the SEC some day and Arkansas is a good place to start."
It was linebackers coach Randy Shannon who offered Duncombe. The 6-foot-2, 205-pound athlete wasn't able to speak with Shannon about the offer, but he got the message that Shannon likes one thing in particular about Duncombe's game.
"Physicality," Duncombe said.
"That's my thing."
This summer, Duncombe hopes he can do a little traveling and see and be seen by some more schools.
"I'm hoping to show them that I'm not only big and physical, I can run and cover as well."
"I liked the campus, the campus is nice. I wish I was in the Swamp," he said with a laugh.
