The defensive line group had several impressive prospects in it. Malik Barrow (Tampa, Fla.) came in with a Buckeye offer already and backed that up. He was tough to contend with in one on ones because of his get-off and he has quick hands. He's currently an end but has a stocky body and depending on how he develops the next two years, could potentially project inside as well.
Auston Robertson (Fort Wayne, Ind.) has been a hot prospect lately. Having only played defense for a week, he has earned three offers during that time including one from Indiana. He is a great athlete with outstanding length. He's obviously raw on his technique, but showed good motor and fight and responded well against better competition. He put himself in line for a future offer from the Buckeyes.
Jonathon Cooper (Gahanna, Ohio) is a fast, athletic edge rusher. He still needs to add a little more variety to his pass rush repertoire as he is a pure speed rush guy right now, but he has the tools to be a high level defensive end as he keeps developing. C.J. McCarter (Fort Wayne, Ind.) is a rising senior who is a little undersized (6'1, 240), but is athletic and has a good motor. He could be headed for some MAC offers soon. Chris Mangrum (Montclair, N.J.) is another who did well in 1-1s.
Tyler Green (Hyattsville, Md.) earned an Ohio State offer and accepted it. He's a long kid with a great frame. Man to man coverage is not what he'll be asked to do in college, so one on ones only told us so much about him. Given his frame and the way he plays on film, strong safety is could be his future.
A'shon Riggins (Hamilton, Ohio) and Stefan Claiborne (Clinton Twp., Mich.) are two 2016 kids with length and ability. Claiborne, seen as more of a receiver recruit prior to this camp, could end up being highly recruited in the secondary. Robert Jackson Jr. (Forestville, Md.) has quick feet and good change of direction. Currently without an offer, he has a chance to add some this summer. Hilton Head (SC) corner Jestin Morrow, a rising junior cornerback was offered by Toledo following the camp. He is a fluid, athletic young prospect.
The linebacker group featured Trotwood-Madison's 2016 prospect Roland Wader, who has a nice frame and recently picked up a BCS offer from Pitt. More could be on their way as he has a lot of upside. Vito Penza, a rising senior from Youngstown Ursuline picked up an Eastern Michigan offer following his performance at the camp. Darryl Gardner, a rising junior from Colerain, is undersized but moves very well and could get looks as a rover or WILL in college.
