Waller breaks down his final four

Monday night, Anaheim (Calif.) Servite quarterback Travis Waller cut his list to four schools and will hit the visit trail this week.

Travis Waller racked up double digit scholarship offers over the last year and on Monday, the signal caller decided to make a cut to his list.

"My final four are Alabama, Northwestern, Notre Dame and Ohio State," Waller said Monday night. "I'm flying out to Alabama on Tuesday and will be on campus Wednesday for a visit. I'm really excited about seeing the place up close and learning more about them.

"I just talked to Coach Saban again tonight (Monday) and he's excited for me to come out so it should be fun. While I'm in the South, I may stop in and visit Auburn too. They have been recruiting me a little harder lately so I want to check them out too."

Waller broke down his four finalists and what he likes about each of them.

Alabama- "They're a powerhouse program and Coach Saban is a great coach. They run a pro-style offense and although I see myself as a dual threat guy, I think I could still fit in there. They said they like the idea of having an athletic quarterback and they could open up the offense more."

Northwestern- "I'm a big academic guy and Northwestern is one of the best academic schools in the country. The depth chart sets up pretty nicely and I think I could play early plus I love the coaching staff and have a great relationship with the guys there."

Notre Dame- "Being from Servite, there's a natural connection with Notre Dame. The spread offense is tailor made for me and I would fit in very well. They also have great academics and the tradition they have is incredible."

Ohio State- "I love Coach Meyer and no one has recruited me harder than Ohio State. I fit in perfectly with that offense and they have had a ton of success over the last few years. I know they already have a quarterback but they still like me a lot so I'm giving them a strong look."

Waller plans to visit Notre Dame and Northwestern the week of June 23rd but didn't remember the exact dates he'll be out there. He has already been to Ohio State and after seeing all four of his finalists, will make his decision July 1st.
