Showing Out… At Camp
Camps are always a great time to show what an athlete can bring to the table from a skills standpoint. And there are a few athletes of note who landed offers when performing well at camps recently. From Tompkins, athlete Christian Wallace went down to Texas and looked great earning an offer from coach Charlie Strong and staff. Staying in Central Texas, wide receiver Tyrie Cleveland from Westfield went to Texas A&M and landed himself an offer. And on Tuesday of this week, North Shore defensive back Eric Monroe "tore it up," as one of his high school coaches stated at LSU, which led to an offer as well.
Louisville Does it Again
A few weeks back, the Louisville coaching staff made the call to the North Texas program in South Oak Cliff. When it was all said and done, the Cardinal coaching staff had offered 10 players on the Dallas area roster. A similar action was taken when the staff came to Manvel, as it offered four juniors recently in defensive end Hasaun Glasgow, running back D'Vaughn Pennamon (both first offers), wide receiver Reggie Hemphill and athlete Deriq King. The latter two are loaded with offers and Hemphill has already released a Top 10 about a week ago.
Baylor Offers Skill
Bellaire wide receiver Courtney Lark has been on a tear lately, and now holds a Baylor offer. The other Bear offer was to a Golden Triangle athlete in Devwah Whaley from Central.
Prior heads up was given to Scout.com about an offensive lineman at Manvel, who was an underclassman. That lineman was Austin Myers, who received his first offer from Clemson. A member of the Manvel coaching staff mentioned that this will be the start to many for the talented guard prospect. Also receiving his first offer is linebacker Jordan Carmouche. His first offer was from Houston.
More SEC for Anderson
Last week it was Alabama, this week it was Auburn that offered Manvel safety Deontay Anderson. The four-star safety was at LSU this past weekend with another 2016 stud in Monroe, who was mentioned earlier.
