Muskegon Mona Shores quarterback Tyree Jackson (6-4, 190 pounds) impressed schools he threw for in the spring with the height and size he has added along with his ability to throw the football.
Even with those performances, none of the schools who came through offered him. Currently with an offer from Ferris State, he continued to work and hone his craft and wait for an FBS school to see what the Bulldogs had seen.
That day came on Wednesday when Buffalo offered him after seeing him in action.
"I'm just blessed," he said. "It's always been a dream to play Division 1 football and it feels great to receive my first offer."
Jackson has not been out to see the Bulls, but hopes to soon.
"I plan on visiting sometime this summer," he explained.
Next, he will attend the Sound Mind, Sound Body Football Academy and then is off to more camps to see where his recruitment will take him next.
