Strong Performance From Hardin
Webb City (MO) athlete KiAnte Hardin is a prospect that was under the radar but is slowly beginning to emerge. His main offers right now come from Bowling Green and Minnesota. He attended yesterday's Kansas State satellite camp in Kansas City. The Wildcats hadn't been in a lot of contact with him but wanted to see him in person. Hardin competed throughout the day at a number of different positions. He took reps at cornerback, safety, and wide receiver. He has the speed and size to be a contributor at cornerback, more so from safety. He's more of a natural in man-to-man coverage and may be a little too slight to star at safety. The rising senior hasn't played a whole lot of offense to date, yet. Last year was the first time he took a role on the offensive side of the ball but shined. Playing slot receiver at the next level isn't out of the question. Hardin shows great hands and is a natural pass catcher. His athletic ability and burst off the line of scrimmage, along with his penchant of making plays in space, could make him too good not to put the ball in his hands. Hardin walked away from the Kansas State camp without an offer but left his mark regardless. "They decided not to offer yet," he said. "They said I looked good and they are going to try to keep in touch." In speaking to someone close to his recruitment, Bowling Green and Minnesota are in the best shape to land the talented senior-to-be from the state of Missouri. There's a lot of intrigue in his camp in regards to the idea of being an offensive standout in Coach Babers' offense with the Falcons. For the time being he will continue to hit the camp circuit and attempt to earn more offers. "I have other camps left this month," Hardin told Scout. "I'm going to compete at Oklahoma State and Arkansas."
