"The recruiting is crazy but awesome at the same time," Brennen Wooten said. "My family and I get to listen to all of the recruiting pitches and I get to decide which schools are the best fit for my skill set. My parents can help decide what schools they feel comfortable with sending their son and which one would treat him as their own."
Wooten has not wasted time on the recruiting trail already visiting TCU, Texas and Oklahoma. He is tentatively scheduled to visit Arkansas next week and possibly Clemson, Alabama and Kentucky in July.
Why is Wooten one of the top young quarterback's in the state of Texas?
"I feel like the strengths of my game are the ability to move inside the pocket to avoid the rush and make a throw, arm strength, I can make any throw on the field, and football IQ," Wooten said. "I'm willing to watch film and study a team's defense until I feel like I know what's coming at me every play. I need to continue to work on footwork."
It is very early in the recruiting process for Wooten and his family but he knows some deciding factors they will use when the time comes.
"Some important factors for me picking a school would be a school that has a chance to make it to the four team playoff regularly and a school that runs an offense that would better prepare me for the next level," Wooten said.
