One Offer For Hammond
2016 wide receiver Josh Hammond already holds one scholarship offer, according to Hallandale head coach Dameon Jones. "Cincinnati has offered Josh," Jones said. "He's also being recruited by Mississippi State, Tennessee and Ohio State." The name should sound familiar to some Gator fans. Josh's older brother Frankie starred for Florida a few years back. "That's why those other teams are on him," Jones said. "He played for coach [Urban] Meyer and coach [Dan] Mullen when they were at Florida. One of his wide receiver coaches was Zach Azzanni [now with the Volunteers]. Those schools are all recruiting Josh more than Florida is." According to Jones, this younger Hammond is bigger and has more upside. "He is definitely bigger than Frankie now," Jones said. "And I think he learned from Frankie that he needed to big bigger so he's packing it on. Josh is 6-foot-0, 180-pounds. He has great hands and speed. He's a track guy like Frankie. This kid just makes plays."
