Rummel DL in no rush

Rummel DL in no rush

Louisiana defensive lineman Tyrell Jacobs continues to add scholarship offers and he is no rush to make a decision...

Kansas State offered Tuesday. Georgia Tech offered about a week ago. Houston offered right around the same time.

The offers continue to roll in.

"It has been a pretty big spring for me," Tyrell Jacobs said. "Arizona, Lafayette, Southern Miss, California, Louisville, UCLA, and some others offered me this spring."

The 6-foot-4, 260 pound defensive lineman is hearing a lot from in-state LSU too, but the Tigers have yet to offer.

It has plenty of time to though. The Metairie (La.) Rummel rising senior plans to take his time with the recruiting process.

"I am going to wait until signing day to make my decision. I have no favorites now and I have not had any favorites yet.

"It is going to take me a while to figure out where I want to go. I will take my official visits first."

The only schools Jacobs has visited so far in 2014 are Mississippi State and Southern Miss. His teammate Briston Guidry (2016 defensive lineman) committed to the Bulldogs recently.

"I like Mississippi State," said Jacobs. "I had a good time when I was there for Junior Day and I really liked how they treated me - it was like family."

Jacobs feels the same way about the Eagles.

"It was my first spring game and it was nice over at Southern Miss. I like the facilities there, the coaches are nice guys, and they were nice to me."

The three-star cannot wait to get out to see other schools. He would like to see some schools on the west coast and he will begin to schedule his official visits later this fall.

"I am still getting offers, so I am just going to take my time. I will figure out who I am going to visit officially during the season."
