2016 Intro: Marquill Osborne

Marquill Osborne is a prospect on the rise. The 2016 Cornelius (N.C.) Hough cornerback spoke with Scout.com about the latest developments in his recruitment.

Two camps, two offers for Marquill Osborne.

Duke was first.

"When I got the offer, it took a big weight off my shoulders," said the 5-foot-10, 170-pound Osborne said.

"I had been working really hard and felt like I did well at the camp, but I didn't expect the offer. Coach Cutcliffe was the one who offered. It felt really good and it means a lot."

North Carolina was next for Osborne.

"The camp was a really good camp," he said. "I went in with the same approach as Duke, but thought I did even better at UNC's camp. It means a lot to get an offer from them, too.

"I really enjoyed the one-on-ones. The coaches kept calling my name, so I got a lot of reps and enjoyed competing. I got to talk to (cornerbacks) coach (Dan) Disch, (wide receivers) coach (Gunter) Brewer and coach Larry Fedora. They told me I could help the program."

Along with schools that have offered, Clemson, Tennessee, NC State, South Carolina, Georgia and Penn State are recruiting Osborne.

Other trips this summer will include Clemson, Tennessee and NC State.

Update: In the past few days, Osborne has added offers from NC State and South Carolina.
