Neal Nelson transferred to Erial (N.J.) Timber Creek in the early spring without an offer.
Now, the former Buena (N.J.) High linebacker sits on nine offers, but from that list, he whittled it down to a pair of schools.
"I'm committing Tuesday at 2:30 p.m.," Nelson told Scout.com, adding Pittsburgh and Central Florida are his finalists.
Nelson, who is 6-foot-1, 220 pounds, camped at Pittsburgh earlier this month.
He then spent the weekend at UCF, and after the visit settled on where he will go to school.
One thing to keep in mind is former Timber Creek receiver Adonis Jennings signed with Pittsburgh in February, and he and Nelson have been speaking a lot.
"He was in my ear," Nelson told Scout.com two weeks ago. "He was telling me a little about Pitt. He was telling it's a good opportunity if I want to get to the next level because, No. 1, they share the same facility as the Pittsburgh Steelers, and you get interaction with NFL players.
"No. 2, (linebacker) coach (Matt) House was coaching for the Carolina Panthers and the (St. Louis) Rams, so he has NFL experience. I feel like out of all the coaches, he has the highest expectations for me."
