Lincolnshire (Ill.) Stevenson
His Recruiting Story:
Green has been a standout for Stevenson since his freshman season. He had another good season as a sophomore, which drew him interest from around the country, but mostly Big Ten and MAC schools. As his junior year began, the offers did as well. Toledo and Illinois were the first two and Purdue would soon follow. As Winter came, more offers did too including Purdue, Iowa, Iowa State and Northwestern. He would visit the Wildcats in May and ended up commit to Pat Fitzgerald and his staff in June.
"I've known about Northwestern since I was a little kid. My friends and I would go to games pretty often. I have a great relationship with Coach [Dennis] Springer. He could tell me absolutely anything, and I would be all right with it. I feel like I can probably tell him anything at this point, too."
Where We've Seen Him: Core 6 Showcase (2013), IMG 7v7 (2013), Chicago NFTC (2014), Michigan State Camp (2014)
Green has a big frame and has filled out considerably over the last year. He uses that size to his advantage. He is not afraid to go over the middle and makes tough grabs in traffic. He has terrific ball skills, sure hands, and a big catch radius. He is a smooth kid who effortlessly gets in and out of his breaks but lacks elite lack speed and suddenness. He is not particularly elusive after the catch, but his size and strength allow him to break arm tackles.
Green is a smart kid who understands how to get open and is very reliable. His size and hands give him a chance to come in and contribute early as a Wildcat. He may not be flashy big-play threat, but he will move the chains, make consistent plays and be a steady, big target for Wildcat quarterbacks.
