Whittier (Calif.) Christian tight end Noah Evans (6-4, 225) got his first offer a week ago.
"While I was at Tennessee at their camp, Austin Peay offered me," said Evans. "It's a reminder that the hard work is paying off. But I'm waiting patiently for more."
Evans is hearing from a number of other schools.
"Coach Tui (Marques Tuiasosopo) is recruiting me and said it's probably going to be a senior film thing more than anything but I'm going to the camp to work," said Evans, whose father, Vince, played at USC.
"Most just want to see me in person, see how I run and a lot wanted to see me working out," said Evans.
Last weekend, Evans was down in Florida at the IMG 7v7 Nationals with his team, Body By Tra.
"We had a lot of fun and caught a lot of footballs," said Evans. "It was a great experience and a huge confidence builder and showed I could compete at the highest level. Going to these camps, going to these tournaments and getting on the scene has really helped."
