S300 CB "close" to decision

Xavier Lewis is about a week away from announcing his decision and he will choose from four schools...

Xavier Lewis is a Reserve, La. native and he was committed to in-state LSU at one time. He opened his recruitment back up and he is now closing in on a final decision.

The decision will come at The Opening next week in Oregon.

"I am close to figuring out which school," said Lewis. "It will be Texas, Oklahoma State, LSU, or Arkansas."

The Razorbacks just offered recently, but it is not too late. He has yet to visit Fayetteville, Ark. though.

The 6-foot, 185 pound star at East Saint John has visited LSU twice, he recently camped at Oklahoma State, and he has also taken an unofficial visit to Texas earlier this year.

Lewis is looking hard at the four finalists and he is going to base his decision off relationships, playing time, atmosphere, and academics -- he is looking for the right fit overall.

After committing to a school once before, he knows what it is like to make a decision. He said this one will be final.

"My mind will be made up once I am committed [this time]," said Lewis. "I am still thinking about it now, but I am close."

Lewis is the No. 29 cornerback and the No. 220 overall prospect on Scout.
