"I am committing the 4th of July and it is between Oregon, Tennessee, and N.C. State," said Johnson.
The 6-foot-3, 330 pound rising senior out of Ellenwood (Ga.) Cedar Grove has spent time on the N.C. State and Tennessee campus, but he has not traveled to Oregon yet.
He talked a little about each finalist:
Oregon: "The coaches are very cool and I would love to play with Taj Griffin (Scout 100 running back)."
N.C. State: "I have a chance to play early and the players already took me under their wing. Me and the defensive line coach (Ryan Nielsen) have a good relationship."
Tennessee: "The atmosphere is amazing and I already know some of the commitments."
The three-star is still "thinking" about his decision. His mind is not completely made up yet, but it should be by Friday.
Johnson, a former Miami commitment said this commitment is "most likely" his final decision.
