Second Big 12 Offer for Mann
Burleson defensive end Kenneth Mann continues to be a popular recruiting target in the state's 2015 class. Mann reported news of his latest offer this past weekend with a midday Saturday tweet that stated, "Picked up my 22nd offer from Oklahoma State this morning!" Oklahoma State is Mann's 19th FBS offer and 22nd overall when including FCS offers from Liberty, Lamar, and Sam Houston State. Thanks to confirmation from BigRedReport.com, the 6-foot-4, 240-pound Mann possesses the following FBS offer list: Arkansas State, California, Connecticut, Fresno State, Houston, Iowa, Kansas State, Louisiana Tech, Memphis, Minnesota, Navy, New Mexico, North Texas, Oklahoma State, Rice, Texas State, Tulsa, UTSA, and Wake Forest. As you can see, Oklahoma State gives Mann seven offers from P5-conference programs, including two from the Big 12 along with K-State. According to Burleson head coach Gary McElroy, Mann has also received interest from schools such as Baylor, Kansas, Nebraska, Oklahoma, and TCU. Mann's frame gives him a valuable selling point to college programs. His height and length make him a scheme-versatile prospect who could gain a minimal amount of weight and play an even-front defensive end, or he could gain significant weight -- because there's plenty of space on his frame to add it -- and he could move inside to a tackle spot. Additionally, he could fit an odd-front 4- or 5-technique spot. Mann plays an odd-front end for Burleson's 3-4 scheme. He had a strong junior season in 2013, recording 83 tackles, four sacks, and 21 quarterback hurries. Mann has remained very quiet about his recruitment, but Scout will stay on top of his process as it continues to develop.
