Karafa picks Boston College

A couple days ago, Tanner Karafa committed to Boston College. After his announcement, he spoke with Scout.com about his decision to become an Eagle, future and more.

"I had definitely been leaning towards BC for the last few weeks and I didn't want to wait for some other linebacker to commit," said Tanner Karafa, who chose the Eagles over Virginia Tech.

"It's definitely nice to have my decision made and it feels like a weight it off my shoulders. It was a combination of football and the business school there

He visited recently and that helped seal the deal.

"On my visit a few weeks ago, they made me feel right at home," said the 6-foot-4, 238-pound Karafa. "They showed me a lot of love."

Karafa is looking forward to playing for head coach Steve Addazio.

"I'm excited about playing for him," he said. "He's a great guy and very down-to-earth. He's doing a great job and the program is definitely on the rise."

The Stone Bridge standout could get on the field early for the Eagles.

"If I go in and work hard, they said I'd definitely have an opportunity to play early," Karafa said.

With his recruitment out of the way, Karafa is focused on his senior season.

"Winning a state championship is the main goal," he said. "We just have to work as hard as we can."
