Georgia got another commitment on Friday - from Marist OL Sage Hardin…
Commitment Analysis: Sage Hardin
Prospect: Sage Hardin Hometown: Atlanta, Ga. High School: Marist Class: 2015 Position: Offensive tackle Size: 6-6/267 Video Highlights: Watch Here Ranking on Scout: | No. 36 OT | No. 39 in Ga. Recruiting: Virginia offered Hardin early and it stayed in the race until the end. Tennessee offered a little later and it was in the hunt too, but once Georgia offered at their camp June 14, the Dawgs had control. Hardin chose the in-state Georgia Bulldogs. Scouting Report: Hardin is tough -- very tough. He showed that to Mark Richt in person at the camp on June 14. He took rep after rep, he truly earned the Georgia offer, and he showed he is willing to go to battle for the Dawgs for four quarters. That was impressive. He plays in a run-heavy offense and he actually plays out of a four-point stance in high school. He fires off the ball well and gets out of the stance quickly and drives opponents off the ball. He is a tall offensive lineman, but he shows good leverage and the ability to turn defensive linemen. He can get a little off balance, so he needs to improve there as well as his hand placement. Pass protection will be the biggest learning curve for Hardin on the next level. He is learning here and he has a ways to go. He has good length, he can move quickly, and he is nimble on his feet for a big man. It will take some time here, but he is very smart and self-driven. Another area he can improve in is his strength. He is a very lean 267 pounds and he has a good frame to carry 300-plus pounds comfortably. Hardin is a prospect with good upside. It should take a little time for him to develop once he arrives in Athens, Ga. From a technical and physical standpoint, he needs time. He is as tough as they come, he is on the athletic side for an offensive tackle, he has a frame college coaches look for, and he has intelligence.
